Dr. Nelson is the associate director of Transfusion Services.

 

 

Education:

Dr. Nelson received his MD from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine in Albuquerque, New Mexico.   He completed his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at Montefiore/Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, New York, and a fellowship in transfusion medicine and blood banking at the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Maryland.

Dr. Nelson is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology and blood banking and transfusion medicine.
