Non-African American 8.8-28.1 mmol living at low altitude, 0.7-30 living at high altitude Clinical cutoff values (2) Iron deficiency anemia - Greater than ULRR (even during acute response to infection/inflammation). Hyperplastic Erythropoiesis: Greater than ULRR Ineffective Erythropoiesis: Greater than ULRR (e.g., thalassemia, megaloblastic or sideroblastic anemia) Effective increased: Greater than ULRR.
