Transport temperature: |
Keep specimen as close to body temperature as possible during transport, such as inside the shirt or coat. | |
Specimen stability: |
Specimen should be delivered promptly to testing laboratory within 60 minutes of collection. A sample that is refrigerated and stored at 4°C can be accepted for sperm count only (for up to 12 hours after collection) but not for motility assessment. | |
