The presence of centromere B antibodies in correlation with clinical findings can aid in the diagnosis of scleroderma (CREST syndrome). Centromere antibodies are found in 70-90% of patients with CREST syndrome, 10-20% of patients with Raynaud's phenomenon and primary biliary cirrhosis. | |
