Specimen type:	Whole blood
Preferred collection container:	6 mL red-top (plain, non-serum separator) tube 8.5 mL yellow-top (ACD solution A) tube
Specimen required:	Four (4) 8.5 mL yellow-top ACD solution A tubes AND one (1) 6 mL red -top plain, non-serum separator tube.
SPECIMEN PROCESSING
Specimen processing instructions:	Do not centrifuge or refrigerate.
Transport temperature:	Room temperature.
Specimen stability:	Room temperature: 24 hours Send all specimens. UPMC Pinnacle will determine acceptability.
Rejection criteria:	Refrigerated or frozen specimens.

Additional information:	This test is only available to Geisinger Transplant Department and is used for solid organ transplant testing ONLY.
