3 mL lavender-top (K2 EDTA) tube
Specimen required:
1 mL serum or plasma; minimum 0.4 mL.
Special notes:
The use of serum and plasma separator tubes is not acceptable. Submission of a polymer gel tube will result in cancellation.

SPECIMEN PROCESSING
Specimen processing instructions:
Promptly centrifuge and separate Serum or Plasma into a plastic, preservative-free, screw capped vial. 
Transport temperature:
Refrigerated (cold packs).
Specimen stability:
Room temperature: 7 days. Refrigerated: 30 days. Frozen: 2 years.
Rejection criteria:
Polymer gel separation tube (SST® or PST).
