HIV Ag/Ab Combo assay is an immunoassay for the simultaneous qualitative determination of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) p24 antigen and antibodies to HIV type 1(HIV-1 group M and group O) and/or type 2 (HIV-2). Specimens with a reactive HIV AG/AB Combo assay result should be tested with a confirmatory assay that differentiates HIV-1 from HIV-2 antibodies. | |
