Clinical significance: |
Purkinje cell (Yo) Antibody is mainly found in patients with paraneoplastic cerebellar degeneration and is associated with breast, ovarian, and other gynecological cancers. Some patients with ovarian cancer have low titers of Yo antibodies in the absence of cerebellar degeneration. This semi-quantitative assay may be useful in monitoring therapeutic responses in select cases. | |
