The whole blood profile on a capillary specimen contains blood gas tests, electrolytes, H/H, glucose and ionized calcium. It combines to help diagnose perfusion (i.e. respiratory) abnormalities and metabolic abnormalities. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
