Antibodies to tissue transglutaminase (TTG) can be used to aid in the diagnosis of certain gluten-sensitive enteropathies such as celiac disease and dermatitis herpetiformis. This assay can also be used to check for adherence to a gluten-free diet in patients already diagnosed with celiac disease. | |
