Specimen type:	Nerve
Preferred collection container:	Non-sterile specimen container
Specimen required:	Nerve biopsy with slightly moistened, not wet, saline Telfa pad in a non-sterile container.
SPECIMEN PROCESSING
Specimen processing instructions:	For off-campus specimens: Place the cardboard and nerve in a waterproof plastic bag. Seal bag tightly. Place the bag in a Styrofoam container which is packed in wet ice. Pack wet ice (not dry ice) around outside of specimen container, making sure no ice water gets into the container with the specimen. Contact client Services at 1-800-695-6491 to arrange for stat transportation.
Transport temperature:	Ship packed in wet ice.
