Approximately 5 mg of small bowel should be collected through endoscopy for the complete enzyme analysis. The tissue should be placed on the wall of a small, tightly capped, plastic tube appropriately labeled with the patient's name, date of birth, ID number, date specimen collected, and referring physician's name. A 1.5 mL microtube works well. Please do not place the tissue on gauze, filter paper, or use any type of support medium. | |||||||||||||||
