3 mL aliquot of plasma; minimum 1 mL of plasma (pediatric patients). Please submit a separate frozen aliquot for this test. It may not be combined with any other test requiring a frozen aliquot.
Special notes:
History and clinic notes must accompany specimen. Place tube on ice.

SPECIMEN PROCESSING
Specimen processing instructions:
Centrifuge 10 minutes at 3000 rpm in a cold centrifuge. 
Transport temperature:
Frozen.
Specimen stability:
Room Temperature: 8 hours. Refrigerated: Unacceptable. Frozen: 14 days.
Rejection criteria:
Room temperature and refrigerated specimens unacceptable. Specimen MUST be frozen.
