Specimen processing instructions:
Serum should be collected in plastic serum separator tube (SST) and spun to separate from clot. 
Transport temperature:
Frozen.
Specimen stability:
Room temperature: Unacceptable. Refrigerated: 5 days unopened. Frozen: >5 days unopened (-70ÂșC). Unopened serum may be stored 2-8 degrees C for up to 5 days before testing, or for only 48 hours after it has been opened. Longer storage requires freezing -70 degrees C.
Rejection criteria:
Room temperature specimen. Stability limits exceeded.
