ANTI-MYELOPEROXIDASE AB, ANTI-MYELOPEROXIDASE ANTIBODY p-ANCA, ANTI-MPO, MPO
Clinical significance: |
Anti-MPO antibodies are highly specific for idiopathic and vasculitis-associated crescentic glomerulonephritis and also for classic polyarteritis nodosa, Churg-Strauss syndrome, and polyangitis overlap syndrome. The presence of anti-MPO antibodies is also used in conjunction with other clinical tests to aid in the diagnosis of inflammatory bowel disease. | |
