Clinical significance: |
Increased IgM is associated with Waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia, infectious mononucleosis, viral infections, nephritic syndrome, and estrogen therapy. Decreased IgM is found in selective IgM deficiency, Bruton's disease and acquired immunodeficiency. | |
